Food-grade silicone is an great alternative to plastic, but it's still synthetic. However, it is free of many of the major risks and concerns that come with plastic, which is why we still offer silicone products in our store.

It isn't Plastic: True silicone is made from silicon and oxygen, NOT petroleum. It is also free from BPA and phthalates
Durable: Resistant to UV light, ozone, and physical wear
Sustainability: Silicone cannot be recycled, but as long as it is taken care of it will not break down/degrade like plastic, making it a much more eco-friendly option
