Our Story

Plastic Free Lifestyle was started because one average guy (that's me) got fed up with how hard it was to find high value low and no plastic products online. Little things like measuring cups and sponges are easy, but minimizing plastic in larger home furnishings and other categories is WAY more difficult than it should be! I'm on a journey to fix that for myself, and I want to share what I find with others through this site.

I hope that this online store makes finding low/no plastic products easier for people, and helps plastic-conscious shoppers find products that they are excited to use. Thank you for supporting my small business!

  • Why are you LOW plastic, not NO plastic?

    As an online catalog of low-plastic and no-plastic products, our goal is to create an online store where customers can focus on the quality, features, and durability of a product with upfront information on how much, if any, plastic is in it. Although it would be ideal to have only 100% plastic-free products in our catalog, we recognize that unfortunately it is often only realistic to MINIMIZE the plastic in our lives, not eliminate it.

  • Why are we here?

    This store started because the shop founders were tired of having to do extensive research almost every time that they wanted to make a plastic-free or low-plastic purchase. There are a ton of really excellent guides to plastic-free products out there, but few places where customers can shop for everything minimally plastic in one place. Low Plastic Lifestyle is a personal labor of love just as much as it is a business.

  • How do we operate?

    Instead of working from a brick and mortar shop, we operate by connecting directly with suppliers and manufacturers. This creates a direct link between customers and manufacturers, saving on the excess emissions, packaging, and fees that would come with in-house fulfillment. This model is more sustainable and economical for all parties. This also expedites fulfillment times because it eliminates a lot of additional shipping and stocking issues and expenses that can come from using in-house fulfillment. Where do you ship?

We ship throughout the United States. Our shipping rates may vary by item, but we do our best to keep costs low. We operate a drop-shipping model based on specific products/suppliers with low and no plastic items. This model allows us to save significantly on shipping and operating costs, which we pass directly to our customers.

What is your return policy?
