This table has been crafted by hand using expertly chosen pieces of reclaimed mango wood and hand-forged galvanized iron in a design that combines clean modern lines with an industrial finish.

Reclaimed Mango Wood: Where does it Come From, and What Does It Looks Like?

Unlike reclaimed redwood which is usually sourced from dismantled structures like fences or barns, reclaimed mango wood comes from mature fruit trees that no longer produce fruit. Instead of becoming waste, select trees are milled into high-quality lumber and repurposed as tables, desks, utensils and other pieces.

These mango trees have lived a long and full life producing delicious fruit, and you can see each tree's unique grain and history in its lumber. There are unique and distinctive patterns, knots, and imperfections in every board that tell a story of a long life and lasting strength.

No two pieces of reclaimed wood are exactly alike, and we encourage you to celebrate the little details in every piece.

Caring for Reclaimed Mango Wood

Wipe down regularly with a dry or damp cloth. For stubborn stains or food spills, use a small amount of mild soap or dish soap and a damp cloth. To maintain the natural finish, condition the wood every 3 to 4 months with a food-safe finish, natural beeswax, or other food-safe furniture wax.

The use of coasters and place-mats will keep the  the wooden finish safe from unnecessary stains and spills, saving you cleanup time and protecting the natural and distinctive finish of the tabletop.

Please note that small cracks and fissures can develop in wooden surfaces with changes in humidity and temperature. This is natural and expected with reclaimed wood, and develops over time into an irreplaceable and beautiful patina that is the hallmark of well-built wooden furniture.
