Cleaning: Hand-wash in warm soapy water. Please avoid placing the bin in the dishwasher. Do not hot food directly into the bin, as the heat and condensation will negatively affect composting and make the bin harder to clean. Fully air dry both the filter and bin after washing before reassembling.

Even when harsher cleaning agents are used on stainless steel, whether intentionally or as an accidental spill, there is little concern of damaging the material. This makes it ideal for kitchens, garages, and other places that see heavy traffic.
